When the Time Is Right

I’m learning as I get older that life is really about timing.
There were things I wanted years ago that I thought should have happened then. Dreams I wanted to hurry. Doors I wanted to open. Plans I thought I was ready for.
But I'm learning to wait.
Not because I've stopped dreaming.
Not because I've given up. But because I understand now that everything has its season.
The Bible reminds us in Philippians 4:6–7 not to be anxious about anything, but to bring everything to God through prayer and supplication with thanksgiving. And then comes the promise of a peace that surpasses our understanding.
I'm learning that waiting doesn't have to mean worrying. I can pray about it, do what is mine to do, and then trust God with what I cannot control.
Some dreams need time to grow. And sometimes we need time to grow into the person who can handle the dream.
There are things happening in my life today that I once dreamed about years ago. Back then, I wondered why they weren't happening. Today, I understand.
I wasn't late.
The dream wasn't late.
It just wasn't time yet.
So I'm learning not to rush what God is still preparing. I'm learning to do what I can, stay ready, keep moving, and trust the timing.
Because sometimes it's not the right time.
But when it happens, that's the right time.
